Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) provides a wide range of mental health and well-being services to students, including group, individual, and relationship counseling and psychiatric consultation. Their services are designed to help students understand themselves and their difficulties, and ultimately make healthy choices for their lives. To get started with ongoing care, students can drop-in at Hudson Health Center 3rd Floor between 9:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. or schedule an initial appointment by scheduling online or calling 740.593.1616. In the initial 20-25 minute appointment, students will briefly share their concerns and basic information about how they’re functioning, discuss appropriate services, and choose next steps.

If a student is experiencing acute distress or has an urgent need to speak with a mental health professional, they can:

  • Call Counseling and Psychological Services at  740.593.1616. After business hours and on weekends or holidays, press 1 to speak with a counselor.
  • Drop-In: During weekdays, drop-in at Hudson Health Center 3rd floor between 9:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
  • Attend Let’s Talk Hours: During the Fall and Spring Semesters, drop-in at the Living Learning Center, Room 160 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., Sunday to Friday.

If there is an imminent danger, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
