North Idaho Crisis Center provides free, confidential, and immediate support for adults experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Open 24/7, the center offers a safe, voluntary space where individuals can receive in-person crisis intervention, emotional support, and short-term stabilization from trained professionals.
Individuals can walk in without a referral—alone or with a support person—and typically stay for up to 24 hours while staff help assess needs, de-escalate crises, and connect them to ongoing care or community resources such as counseling, housing, medical services, or substance use treatment.
Services are person-centered, compassionate, and focused on providing immediate relief, promoting safety, and helping individuals take the next steps toward recovery and stability.
