Safe Passage is a nonprofit organization in North Idaho dedicated to supporting adults and children affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse. Since 1977, Safe Passage has provided free, confidential, trauma‑informed services that promote safety, education, and empowerment while working toward a community free from violence.
Services include 24/7 crisis support and advocacy through a helpline, emergency and extended shelter, licensed counseling, court advocacy, and housing support to help survivors stabilize their lives and access resources. Safe Passage also operates a Children’s Advocacy Center that provides coordinated support in cases of child abuse.
In addition to direct services, Safe Passage engages in community education and prevention initiatives—including healthy relationships training, school outreach, and bystander intervention—to increase awareness and reduce the incidence of violence. All services are confidential, free of charge, and grounded in compassion, integrity, and survivor‑centered practice.
