School Counselor

Kasey Jensen is the school counselor at Jefferson West and a member of our district’s mental health team. She helps students navigate all the different parts of high school, from choosing classes and meeting graduation requirements to exploring college, careers, and life after high school. Kasey also knows that high school can come with its share of challenges, and she’s someone students can turn to when they’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating friendships, facing personal concerns, or simply need someone to listen.

Students can reach out to Kasey by email, stopping by the counseling office, or asking a trusted staff member to help them connect. Because she wears many hats throughout the school day, she may not always be available right away, but she’ll work to find a time to talk. If a student is experiencing a crisis or needs immediate support, their well-being is always a priority, and they should let a staff member know right away.

Alongside her work as a school counselor, Kasey helps lead schoolwide mental health awareness efforts, including the Green Bandana Project, working to create a school community where students feel connected, supported, and comfortable asking for help.

Whether students are making plans for the future or working through something difficult today, Kasey is here to help them find their way.
