Survivor Advocacy Program

Ohio University’s Survivor Advocacy Program (SAP) provides confidential supportive counseling and advocacy services to survivors and co-survivors of sexual assault and harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. SAP advocates are not required to report the incident to law enforcement or the school. Instead, advocates work to educate survivors on the resources available to them and allow them autonomy to choose what happens next, if anything. Survivors are never expected to disclose details they are not ready to share. Survivors can meet with an advocate in-person at our office space in Lindley Hall 041, or virtually through Microsoft Teams. Survivors can schedule with a confidential advocate using our online Bookings page (preferred method), calling our office, or emailing our office.
