Jefferson West partners with The Guidance Center to provide school-based mental health counseling services. A licensed mental health professional is available on campus to help students work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, family concerns, and other emotional or mental health needs.
Students who are interested in these services can reach out to the school counselor or school social worker to learn more. They will help explain the referral process and what steps may be needed to get started, including parent or guardian consent when required. Counseling provides a supportive, private space where students can talk about what they’re experiencing, learn coping strategies, and receive additional support. Students don’t have to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before asking for help.
