The Trevor Project is a free, confidential, 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ young people under age 25 in the United States.

The organization provides immediate support through phone, text, and online chat, connecting LGBTQ+ youth in crisis with trained counselors who offer affirming, judgment‑free emotional support. Services are available around the clock for those experiencing suicidal thoughts, mental health distress, identity‑related challenges, bullying, or isolation.

In addition to crisis services, The Trevor Project offers education, research, advocacy, and community resources to help create safer, more inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ youth. Its mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people by combining direct support with systemic change and public awareness.
