Trans Lifeline – Hotline is a peer support phone service run by and for transgender, nonbinary, and gender‑questioning people in the United States and Canada. Calls are answered by trained trans and nonbinary volunteers who offer nonjudgmental listening, emotional support, and community connection. You don’t need to be in crisis to call—support is available for loneliness, stress, identity questions, or any reason you need someone who understands your experience.
The hotline is fully confidential and anonymous, with a strict policy against involving emergency services or law enforcement without the caller’s explicit consent. Support is offered in English and Spanish, and no personal identifying information is required to connect with an operator.
Participants can call toll‑free in the U.S. at (877) 565‑8860 or in Canada at (877) 330‑6366 during posted operating hours to access compassionate, affirming peer support from people with shared lived experience.
Trans Lifeline’s hotline operating hours are Monday through Friday:
- 10 AM – 6 PM Pacific
- 11 AM – 7 PM Mountain
- 12 PM – 8 PM Central
